Description This is an extended version of my ever popular summer workshop in the the Peak District National Park. Centred around the Hope Valley and the gritstone edges in the east of the area this time we will also be including some of the dramatic rocky ridges in the south-west of the Peak District.

With the heather in bloom across the moors, the Peak District will be looking at its most colourful at this time of year and we'll be out with the camera capturing these landscapes when the light is (hopefully) at its best around sunrise and sunset. Back at the hotel we will also spend some time processing the images using Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop .

Where do we stay? The workshop is based at The Plough Inn, Hathersage, a cosy B&B ideally situated in the heart of the area just a stone’s throw from the locations we will be shooting.

Who is it aimed at? An understanding of the basics will be useful but this course is suitable for photographers of all levels, anyone looking to improve their landscape photography and enjoy a photography trip and hopefully a few laughs, with a small group of like-minded people. I pride myself on providing plenty of personal tuition during my workshops, so numbers are limited to 5 participants to enable me to spend plenty of time with everyone.

On this workshop we will look at all aspects of landscape photography, including composition, exposure settings, focusing, using live view, using filters and anything else that comes up. My workshops are supported by LEE filters who have kindly supplied complete sets of filters for those who do not have them to use on the day and I will be on hand to offer expert advice on how, when and why to use them. As a LEE Filters ambassador, I can also give individual advice on choosing filters, as well as a discount code, to anyone who needs it.

Following the workshop there will be an image review session via Zoom which is not only an opportunity to receive critique on your work but to see and discuss the photos that others have taken during the trip.
